About Early Years

The Early Years Unit takes pupils up to 5 years on a part time basis. Younger children attend from 12.50 to 3.20. The older children attend from 8.50 to 11.40 with the option to stay for lunch until 12.15.

Reception

Children who are five or rising five will attend a full time reception class.

Uniform is optional in the Early Years Unit. The children follow the Foundation Stage of education, learning mainly through structured play.

The Early Years Unit teacher and support assistant work together to provide a happy and successful start to your child’s school career.

Learning is always exciting and fun in Early Years. Look at some of our activities throughout the year.

Busy making mini-gardens in the spring time.

Castle Day in the summer. We dressed as kings, queens, princesses and princes !
