A team of inspectors from Ofsted spent two days at Greenleas in January before producing a glowing report on the school.

The quality of teaching comes in for high praise, while pupils"feel very secure and happy" . Both teaching staff and governors also come in for tribute in the report.

The inspectors also sent a personal letter to the pupils at Greenleas.

"We feel that it is a real tribute to everyone involved with the school, especially all the people who work at Greenleas and of course the children themselves.
Reading the report you will notice that all areas have been given outstanding. The Inspector told us that this applies to only 5% of all schools nationally. "

"The two-day visit by the two inspectors was a very positive process and we were delighted to have our work acknowledged and praised. In light of the report we will be looking at further refining our system for tracking and monitoring children’s progress throughout the school with the possibility of introducing a new computerised system for Years 1 to 4."
